BMW Motorad is the German company that has been producing BMW motorcycles since the early 20s. Although the beginnings of the company are closely related to the production of aircraft, it was in 1923 that the first motorcycle was produced in a BMW factory. At present, the company has plants in Taiwan, China and Austria, besides the main Berlin factory. The motorcycle categories produced under the BMW brand vary from 450cc to 1300cc cylinder capacity. BMW motorcycles have won a great reputation by winning lots of competitions and prestigious races in national and international contests. There are two models available in the R series: R1200GS, R1200T. They all have 1200 cc capacity, twin cylinders and a shaft drive.

The K series includes larger BMW motorcycles in the K series have four engines and a cylinder capacity of 1200-1300cc. The selection categories include K1300S, K1300GT and K1300R, or K1200LT and K1200R.

Sports bikes with four inline engines and 999cc are available in the S series. This BMW motorcycles enjoy one of the highest popularity levels.
